Mock-Ups
Experimenting with mock-ups is a very efficient technique for visualising and simulating selected elements of envisioned IT systems prior to their implementation. A user interface mock-up is a drawing of how the future systems user interface is meant to be designed. When you do a mock-up you are forced to handle more detailed questions about interaction techniques and graphic form compared to using scenarios. However, it is important to understand that even a user interface design sketch can be used as a means to stimulate the discussion of system services, distribution of work tasks between human and computer, as well as the users needs. In other terms, a user interface sketch can be used to communicate, develop and establish the design visions.
