Analytical Evaluation
In analytical evaluation two categories of evaluation methods are considered; inspections including heuristic evaluation and walkthroughs, and theoretically based models which are used to predict users’ performance. In heuristic evaluations, knowledge about a typical user is applied, guided by guidelines and standards to identify usability problems. Walkthrough involve experts in walking through the application with a scenario at hand. The key feature is that users do not take part in the evaluation and this makes the process relatively quick and inexpensive.
